Article:

The most popular way to build a job is by using a scenario — a pre-built series of jobs with the same shipper, receiver, and biller information.

Want to input a different shipper, receiver, and biller for each job? Check out our article on assigning jobs here.

Start building your job by right-clicking a job cell and choosing “Insert job using scenario.” A Select Scenario window will pop up on your screen; find a scenario by scrolling through the list. Each scenario includes a region, name, shipper, receiver, and biller.

If you do not see the scenario, you are looking for, you can easily create one! Just click the “New Scenario” button on the bottom of the screen. Fill out the details for your scenario (region, name, shipper, etc.) and then click “Save.”

Alternatively, you can use the “Scenario Name” box on the top left to search for a scenario. Choose a scenario from the list and click “Select” on the top right of the window.

In the Confirm Job window, assign shipper docks for your driver. The number of shipper dock menus reflects the number of tanks on that location. Click a menu and choose between “Driver Selected” or other pre-built options. Once you’ve assigned the shipper docks, either confirm or authorize the job.

The job then prepopulates in the job cell on your dispatch board. Depending on which side you hover your cursor over, you’ll see more information about the job. Hover over the left side to see details like job status, ID number, timestamps, and more. Hover over the right side to see item details and information that a driver has entered into the system.

Tip: An “Idle” status means the job is not authorized. The driver will not be able to see the job even if they log in to the system. Authorize the job by right-clicking the cell and choosing “Authorize” from the menu. The driver will then be able to see it when they log in.

That’s how to build a job using a scenario.
